THE BEST WAY TO COLORADO

From LAX, US Airways, Frontier and United offer connecting service (change of planes) to Durango. Restricted round-trip fares begin at $498.

Most people who drive it take Interstate 15 past Las Vegas and up Interstate 70 into Grand Junction, Colo., then U.S. 50 down to Montrose and U.S. 550 to Ridgway. A better route is to swing south from I-70 on U.S. 191 into Moab, Utah, then continue south to take Utah 46 to Colorado 90, to Colorado 145, to Colorado 62 into Ridgway. It is scenically spectacular.

THE YURTS

Cost per night is $60 plus an $8 reservation fee and a $6/day local park pass. Reservations can be made by calling (800) 678-2267 or online at www.parks.state.co.us or through Reserve America at coloradostateparks.reserveamerica.com. We recommend contacting the park at (970) 626-5822 for details on what you should bring.
