GoGalavanting.com encourages women's travel. Don't expect expensive resorts or "the world's perfect facial." Instead, find travel tips and inspiration for women on realistic budgets.
What's hot: The travel tips section offers sound advice for women gathering themselves for a road trip. The articles are as diverse as "Top 10 Family Travel Tips You Can Actually Use" and "Wardrobe Confessions of a Traveling Mom." I particularly enjoyed the destination guide to Costa Rica by co-founders Kim Mance and Katy Quissell. A video in the "Galavanting TV" section showed off their trip, which included surf lessons and a trip to an organic coffee farm. Lest you think the site is all about the founders, it's not. What's not: "Galavanting TV" is unique, but it's slim pickings so far. Once I watched one video, I wanted to watch more. When you're through with the handful in that section, go to the "Community" page, where travelers can upload their photos and videos. I found a few more videos worth watching there.
