Your Scene: a slice of Italy

It was the shaft of light on a Venice canal that captivated Karen Carabello of Long Beach in April. She and her boyfriend, Erik Bueno, were looking for a place to eat. "It was almost set up, ready for a photo," Karen said, so she pulled the camera, a Panasonic Lumix, from Erik's hands and snapped the shot. Karen was so taken with Italy on their 2 1/2 -week trip that she returned in September.
