Your Scene: Russia’s boys of summer

On a Volga River cruise in August, Sheldon and Andrea Shapiro and a group of traveling companions stopped at Goritzy, Russia, to see the Monastery of St. Cyril on White Lake. After the solemn visit, the Beverly Hills couple went to see the lake and found these boys on a warm Sunday afternoon, in a scene that could have been right out of "Tom Sawyer." Sheldon Shapiro took this shot with a Nikon D70 S. The Shapiros take an annual trip with friends Sheldon has known since kindergarten. This year's trip will be to various presidential libraries.
