In August, Gerald and Kay Fox of Northridge took a cruise on the Queen Victoria. When the ship docked at Gibraltar, they were greeted by this group of Barbary apes. These primates (actually, tailless monkeys known as macaques) are also found in Algeria and Morocco. Legend has it that as long as they are in Gibraltar, it will remain a British possession, Gerald says. "I was fortunate to get a full family grouping of father, mother and the young one together," he says. He used a Canon SD180IS to capture the moment.
