German Quarter

A young bellman at our hotel suggested we try Salina's restaurant in the German Quarter of Jerusalem. The restaurant was lovely, warm and inviting. The service was impeccable thanks to Yael, our hostess, who was very helpful and friendly. Our steak had an excellent wine sauce. This restaurant is high on my list of great places to eat in the world.

Salina's, 24 Emek Refaim St., German Colony, Jerusalem; 011-972-2-567-2049, www.selina.co.il.

Dinner, with wine, about $50.
