Readers recommend: A fabulous meal at British Columbia's Table 24

On a recent road trip, we had an astonishing meal at a year-old restaurant named Table 24 in the little British Columbia town of Salmon Arm (between Vancouver and Calgary, Alberta). It was an enormously pleasing and satisfying meal, wholly unexpected.

Table 24, 20 Hudson Ave. N.E., Salmon Arm, British Columbia; (250) 832-2410, www.table24.ca.

Dinners from about $30.
