Jump-start your vacation -- and lower your stress level -- the next time you fly out of Los Angeles International Airport, with a lodging, dining and parking deal at the Sheraton Gateway Hotel.

The deal: The special, an exclusive to Los Angeles Times readers, is $169 and includes overnight lodging in a Gateway room, dinner for two at Shula's 347 steakhouse restaurant, free overnight parking and airport shuttle. Guests can park for an additional week at the reduced rate of $15 per night (the regular parking fee is $23 per night).

The hotel: The Gateway, less than half a mile from LAX, is managed by the Kor Hotel Group. (Other hotels in the group are the Avalon in Beverly Hills and the Viceroy in Santa Monica.) It was renovated in 2005 and has fitness and business centers, an outdoor heated pool and whirlpool.

Where is it? 6101 W. Century Blvd.

Details: The package is available Thursdays through Mondays through April 9. It does not include hotel taxes or restaurant gratuities.

Reservations: Call (888) 627-7104 and ask for the Los Angeles Times deal package.

Where am I?

Should we take offense, order a drink, or what? That depends, of course, on where you think these words turned up.
