The deal: Rates start at $209 per night, double occupancy, and include breakfast in Juniper, the hotel restaurant, and a Fairmont Shopping Card. The card offers 10% to 15% discounts at Georgetown shops and other shopping incentives at specialty stores, restaurants and a spa.

The hotel: The Fairmont is a AAA four-diamond property. It has 415 renovated guest rooms and suites.

Where is it? The hotel, at 2401 M St. N.W. in historic Georgetown, is convenient to museums, the Kennedy Center and other theaters, shopping and dining. It is close to two Metro stations and is five miles from Reagan National Airport and 33 miles from Dulles International Airport.
