Highlights: Hollywood-themed fair has movie memorabilia and exhibits; live music, including "Weird Al" Yankovic, Jessica Simpson, Chicago, Al Jarreau; rides; food.

Cost: $8 ($10 after Aug. 15); kids ages 5 to 12, $5 ($6); 4 and younger, free; concert tickets, free to $40.

Tomato Festival

When, where: Aug. 16 and 17 on Texas Street.

Blues by the Bay

Cost: $45 for a single day; ages 13 to 18, $25; kids 12 and younger, free.
