Pinot Paradise

When, where: March 28 and 29, Villa Ragusa.

Highlights: Tastings of Pinot Noirs from more than 30 wineries from six subregions in the Santa Cruz Mountains, a self-guided tour, food pairings and the Grand Cruz tasting.

Cost: $25 for the self-guided tour with tastings; $55 for technical sessions; advance tickets for the Grand Cruz Tasting are $55, $65 at the door. All-inclusive weekend passes are $140.

Modern Phoenix Expo & Home Tour

Highlights: The fifth annual modernism event features a free public expo, film screening, self-guided tour of midcentury homes, free admission to the museum, lectures, presentations and workshops.

Macy's Flower Show

Scottsdale Culinary Festival

When, where: April 14 to 19, various locations throughout Scottsdale.

Highlights: This food festival, in its 31st year, features tasting events, cooking demos, special appearances by celebrity chefs, tribute dinners and the Great Arizona Picnic.

PEBBLE BEACH, CALIF.

Pebble Beach Food & Wine

When, where: April 16 to 19, throughout Pebble Beach.

Highlights: Cooking demos by celebrity chefs such as Thomas Keller, Eric Ripert and Michael Mina; tastings from more than 250 wineries; book signings; Champagne dinner; Michelin dinners featuring starred chefs; two Grand Tasting events and the Master Sommelier Blind Tasting Challenge.
