7th annual Summer Wine Festival
When, where: Noon to 4 p.m. June 7 at the beach at Two Harbors.
Highlights: Admission includes a wine glass, with unlimited tasting of wines and beer from more than 50 wineries and several breweries; appetizers; live music along the waterfront; and silent auction.
Cost: $30 in advance, $40 after Wednesday.

Paddlefest 2008

Cost: $50 before July 4; after, $75. Kids' Fun Paddle free; clinics $15 each.
