Housed in a former church (two levels, stained-glass windows), this eatery is part of a three-location Manhattan chain that's a sit-down pasta and pizza place, not by the slice. Pizzas, $12.75 to $17.50; other entrees, $9.25 to $13.95.
Ellen's Stardust Diner, 1650 Broadway; (212) 956-5151, www.ellensstardustdiner.com. If you have teens or preteens to entertain and a tolerance for loud show tunes sung by strolling servers, look no more. Dinner entrees, $10.25 to $23.95.
