RAIL TRAIL / MULTI-USE

More than sixty multi-use trails have already been built in Connecticut for hikers, walkers and bicyclists. Each year more are

constructed and existing ones lengthened.

BLUE TRAILS

Connecticut's Blue Trail system includes 700 miles of trail, including the

22 paths of the Tunxis Trail system.

APPALACHIAN TRAIL
The

2,135-mile Appalachian Trail cuts through the northwestern corner of

Connecticut, covering 52 miles from Kent to Salisbury.

The Metropolitan District

Commission has two reservoirs in West Hartford, part of the Talcott Mountain Reservoir area, that are immensely popular with walkers, runners and bicyclists.
